I attended a yearly expressive arts therapy retreat lead by Adriana for four or five years. It was amazing and each year I got to see my growth and witness myself becoming more and more open. Adriana created a safe and supportive atmosphere that gave me the space to do all of the movement stuff that I hated. There are times today where I feel fully in my body and I look back to the retreats as the place where I learned to be that way. I healed a lot working with Adriana and learned to take ownership of what I like to call my "boundless creative energy.

One of the things I like best about the work I have done with Adriana is the way she creates a nurturing, dynamic and safe space, so I can really be with what's going on for me. Her gentle approach -- and the focus on the art therapy -- encouraged me to explore my issues in a whole new way, with surprisingly profound results (who knew something so fun could teach me so much?!). Her spiritual approach isn't heavy-handed or new age-y, more an encouragment to bring that aspect into how I approach myself and my healing (something I hadn't gotten from other therapies) and this was a great help, too.

Adriana has a tried and true practice. I have personally worked with her over a span of about 7 years and she keeps getting better and better! One aspect of her work that has helped me specifically is around addiction and recovery, enriching and adding to what I gained from the 12 Steps. She helped me to tap into and to better express my creativity, which in turn inspired me to live life more fully. I would highly recommend Adriana's individual therapy, group workshops, and retreats, all of which I have experienced and enjoyed. Her dedication to this practice is deep and her ability to be present with others is equal to that.

I participated in two of Adriana's workshops: Soul Maps and The Spark Creative during a period of transition in my life. Both workshops were excellent! Adriana's multi-modal expressive arts approach was particularly effective in helping me confront and release stubborn blocks and work creatively with my personal material. Through movement, collage, drawing, writing and group sharing I was able to generate new resources for myself and see things from a new perspective. Adriana creates a safe space where you can start where you are and work with whatever is present for you--including, in my case--resistance! I received a lot of support and grounding from the group and the work itself. Adriana's gentle guidance, encouragement and compassion touched me deeply and has helped me immensely during a time of transition and reinvention. I cannot recommend Adriana and her workshops highly enough.

Adriana is a gifted and intuitive counselor and healer - her unique creative and somatic approach bypasses a lot of the "noise" typically experienced in traditional therapy. Adriana has a really grounded and encouraging presence and she is always able to help you see the positive potential to any life challenge, no matter how difficult. I can't recommend her highly enough!

I've spent over a decade trying to recapture the creativity and discipline I needed to return to my writing and art. After several sessions of one of Adriana's expressive arts groups, I was writing poetry again and working with pastels. Less than 8 months later I am writing poetry daily, submitting to magazines and have an art show up at a local cafe. There is something very special about her process, and she happens to also be a very caring and creative person herself. The groups are completely not intimidating, and the work helps you remember that before art was something you were either good or bad at, it was fun and the place of reckless imagination.
